Is the weather getting worse? I think so

Let's not go down the whole 2012 story, that is a different kettle of fish but I'm going to discuss the weather, that age old subject that we all seem to moan about, especially if you live here in the UK

So is the weather changing? Is it getting worse? I think so

Casting my mind back to been at school in the 90s I remember looking forward to summer because it actually was a summer, lovely days of sunshine and sometimes lasting weeks with a sometimes hot temperature but sometimes just warm. By the time it came to winter you could guarantee it would turn cold, icy with sub zero temperatures and if we were lucky some snow at Christmas 

Let us fast forward only 10 years late to 2012 and what do we have now

• Wettest months since records began
• Tornado's in the UK!!! What is that all about
• Snow in the spring
• A so far one off record breaking heat wave not even in the summer

That is just what is now, but going back to just the last couple of years we have the above mentioned to add to severe flooding, the lack of sun in summer and overall different unpredictable weather patterns. Only in 2009 did the UK record the highest rainfall in 24 hours, in December 2011 the coldest December in 100 years

So what is really happening to the weather?
