Me and John were both up nice and early to go off to Manchester today to go on the Jeremy Kyle. Peter dropped out due to been ill. We arrived in Manchester around 11 and went off to canal street for a few drinks, coke of course lol. Sat on the nice balcony with our drinks waiting for somewhere to open to go for lunch, which we did at around 12. A nice 3 course meal. Just before 1pm we set off to Granada Studios. Arrived before half 1. Only 2 people actually waiting and we were so close to the Coronation Street set, we even got to see a few of the cast as they went in including the guy who Plays Dev, he drove past, from the distance we saw the characters who play Sean and Violet. One walked past us who plays Lloyd. Anyway onto the show. We had waited outside for over an hour and a half before it opened to let us in. It were very surreal been in the studio and it's a lot smaller than seen on TV. We managed to get good seats on the second row from the front so very close to the cameras and the stage. Jeremy Kyle came and said hello and stuff before filming began and he were funny. As for the filming, he had to do just a few re shoots but there was a lot of clapping involved lol, far too much actually. So the guests included a guy who was worried his fiance would run off with their gay best friend. A guy who wanted to see his son. An Asexual 18 year old who was brought on by his mum worried about why he would not have sex and finally such a sad one about an anorexic 22 year old girl who also self harmed and drank a lot. Before the show she had tests done in which she were told that her levels were so low, not sure what levels it was now but if it got any lower she would have a heart attack. I felt really sorry for her. Overall the experience were really good and I would deffo do it again and recommend anyone to go if they can do. After been there around 3 hours we went back to Canal Street for one drink before getting the train back home.
