A night out tonight, and mine and Johns first weekend off together, today we both went shopping and picked our rings out which are really nice ones and they will arrive into the shop in the next 8 days. Bought a few other Christmas presents and a new top so spent around £200. It's the 1st of December today and 25 days to Christmas.
We had something to eat as well, a KFC at 10am in the morning lol but as Meadowhall started to get a bit rammed we left to go home. Tonight Claire came around for a night out, we have not been out together for a long time so it were nice to go out with her too, she brought a bottle of brandy around and together we pretty much went through most of the bottle so I was feeling rather merry.
On going out we decided to go to Affinity the new gay pub in Sheffield, it were alright I guess, nothing special but it was OK, then off to Dempsey's we went and it was quite busy but after a few drinks I became quite drunk, not been this drunk for a while. I'd had a good night up till now and then we ended up going to Fab, it was shite. It had around 30 people all stood around the bar area or sat down and a big dance area with one ming mong person dancing around a pole with no top on, some guy I dislike and have a story with from the past who even tried making conversation with me, the cheek of some people. After 5 mins in here me and Claire left to go back to Dempsey's. It goes to show to spend £10 to get into a club for 5 mins to then pay a taxi back to somewhere I really did not like it. We both left our drinks that we had just bought as the taxi called so I did not take the risk to down it.
Back in Dempsey's and it was busier than before. I was feeling a little worse for wear and eventually we decided to leave and come home. Claire came back for a bit before going home and I then went off to bed and fell asleep fully dressed because John undressed me when he got back in. So anyway part of the night was good, the rest of it was crap. I think I might take a strike on the gay scene and just never go back on it again, the more I go out the less I seem to enjoy it or something happens where I don't enjoy it. It's nice having the company but it's not just that it needs a good atmosphere to enjoy the night as well and the music has to be right.
