1 year later

I can't believe it's already been a year since I began writing on here the time has gone so fast. Currently the blog stands at 12000 hits meaning it's on average of 1000 a month. So I'll recap the year as best I can and sum it all up but of course you can always go back and read the months and check it out for yourself.

It has been an up and down year with what seems like a lot of changes. The blog began with me just entering into a new relationship, though happy at the very beginning it soon slid downhill to a point where I ended up feeling depressed and miserable and stuck in a relationship. However just 7 months later it all came to an end and I quickly turned my life back around again where I became happy, not feeling miserable or depressed. I don't actually blame the person involved by how I became but it plays a key factor in the fact he clearly was not the right person for me and I made a wrong decision to go down the route I did. However I did manage to turn myself and my social life back to how it was pre the relationship. In fact it's a lot better at this moment in time and I'm actually a lot happier than before I began in the relationship even though before we got together I were actually happy anyway I'm just even happier now.

5 months later, been the current time one would have thought that after breaking up 5 months ago he would be out of my life for good, however as you will have read I've had to report him twice at work for general bitching. Luckily for now that is sorted and hopefully a closed subject.

I've become extremely close to Patrick who I have known for around 3 years. He is a friend who I could not live without and fully intend on having in my life for good. We tried (twice lol) to switch from friendship to relationship but this was very short lived as we both value too much what we have. It's very rare to have such closeness in a friendship that we have and it's not worth losing.

Work life has gone from strength to strength after having my own team for 5 months until the team were moved elsewhere so I'm now a substantive cover manager whilst a team becomes available so in the mean time I shall continue to cover other managers in their absence whilst doing my usual sales role as well. I've now heaps of management experience to add to my CV and August 2008 will mean I've been in my current job for 2 years.

My dad got in contact after 20 years, we shared a few emails but this has for some reason stopped. It was an unexpected surprise he got in contact or even found me but he did but as I said after a few emails all that stopped for some reason.

Christmas was not all that great neither was the new year celebrations, in fact Christmas I ended up in hospital with an abscess lol. Oh well what can one do but I did have a fab 24th birthday and even had a nice pink limo to share with some good friends. First time I've had a limo so one is now hoping my 25th also be a big birthday. I do try to out beat the previous ones if I can.

I also attempted to stop smoking. I did manage 5 weeks but that all ended when I removed the patches and quickly began again. I'll stop again soon or attempt to I'm sure.

The last few months have been fantastic. It's been weekends of fantastic nights out in Sheffield and out of Sheffield with more planned ones including Manchester Pride. I've new friends to add to my current circle of friends and again they have added to some wicked nights out. It's usually a weekly thing with 2 or 3 nights out forgetting the nights lol, going home and been sick and checking the pictures to see the damage. On top of that I've the other general stuff I've been doing, either been with friends or going to the cinema, eating out and what not. Also the UK had the earthquake that I felt. Also I've been in the audience of Jeremy Kyle so that was a rather good experience. Only recently in July I got back from Amsterdam my 1st of 3 holidays this year, me and Patrick had a lovely time there and next up is Egypt in September and finally Morocco in November and hopefully booking Mexico for next year, unsure of next years plans are just yet as it's still in discussion. More recently I've had my 4th tattoo done as well and as you can see in the picture slide below I've added tons of pictures which I've also had published in a photo album style book to keep a hold of for my future.

So all in all it's been a tough start to the first part of the 12 months but the second half has been a ball and I'm looking forward to what the next 12 months have in store. I'm sure it will be more nights out, I'm sure work life will get even better and currently I'm really happy with work life and how its going for me. I've holidays to look forward to and the only thing now is single life, though happy with that I guess it would be nice to meet someone. I just need to find the right one but friends that I have are more than enough for me to be really in need of anyone at this moment in time. It's all fun fun fun all the way.
