I'm back 12 months later

So here I am updating almost a year to the date since I last posted an update yet we are now coming into December and therefore not too far away from 2012

So what has happened to my life in the last 12 months? It's not all doom and gloom

I passed my driving test. I began learning in Jan after getting into a relationship with a guy who didn't live close enough for me to want to use public transport. Though we split I continued to learn to drive and passed. I now have a car and on the road to freedom

Speaking of relationships, well it has not been that great from a relationship front and in fact taking aside the shortest relationship in history I have been single through pretty much the whole of 2011. However I think I'm happy with single life at the moment. The problem that I have with men is that I look for the negatives as soon as I meet them or find faults so until I change my way of thinking I am best off single.

Over on the work front, drastic change in work life. After managing a team for over 3 years the company announced the building closure and a shed loads of jobs to go. Whilst I didn't lose my job I did lose my team, my management position and reverted back to my sales job. I did try and look at this from a positive level as I was complaining about the stress of the management job, the problem been the new role is more stressful. So whilst I have been working for the company now for over 5 years that is possibly going to be reviewed in 2012 now that I'm driving. 

Other stuff - Quit smoking, I keep doing it this stopping smoking, starting smoking. However this time really needs to be for good. I stopped smoking again after learning my nan had lung cancer. I went to visit her in hospital and could see the damage cancer really does. I'm now 5 months into quitting and going strong. My nan died from cancer this year, this further cemented the fact I should quit for good

Ending on a ligher note, Britney Spears was in Sheffield for the Femme Fatale tour. I'm a big Britney fan but was never keen to see her tour due to miming but after hearing part of the set was live I decided to go. I enjoyed the tour but was disappointed half the arena was empty. Also though Steps are back together, so for any steps fans out there this really does bring back memories from 10 years ago when they split up. I have front row tickets for April 2012 and really cannot wait.
