Due to start at 10am for work today but I ended up having to come in at 8, all the managers are away for the day leaving me alone at 8am. Not that its all that bad unless things start going wrong. As soon as I arrived the systems went down, then came back up, then went back down. Then I've had the usual odd few escallations to do on top of then having to do the sales tracker for my team and another 2 teams as well as keeping the sales board up to date.
Then there is the emails I've had to shift through and forward on, delete etc etc. Then I've had someone AWOL who ended up not been that way, other people calling in sick or been late and I usually have to keep an eye on the team I'm looking after using this little tool I have access to, it's very good and easy to manager, that is not the case when I've given access to the centre managers instead meaning I'm keeping an eye on around 150 people and not 10.
I've then had huddles with 2 teams to do and then the general help of others and making sure everything runs smoothly. The first 2 hours of the day, were just terrible but thankfully a few other managers came in including John. A good thing seems I felt snowed under with tons of stuff to do and just not enough time. So overall it has been one very stressful day and role on 4.30 when I got to leave. Tomorrow again I'm on at 8, so no doubt the only one but all this experience is not so bad.
