Work as usual till 6pm and arrived home to then get ready to go out for a meal with John. We arrived into town around 7 and headed to Pizza Hut instead of the HaHa Bar. After spending around an hour there we headed off for what should have been a few drinks. We were meant to go to Affinity for 1 and then Dempsey's but John decided he did not want to go to Dempsey's and wanted to stay there and stay out especially as he had also arranged to bring someone else out. Not the kind of thing I would do, 3 is a crowd after all. Maybe I'm missing the point here but how many days are there in a year and how many times does your very first Valentine come. Plus why does everything have to be turned into a night out especially as we would be going out tomorrow. Since when did a few drinks mean 5 hours drinking.
Anyhow I'll make my feelings clear, and then leave it at that and hope next year is better.
I stayed in Affinity till around 9pm before getting a taxi and going home alone. John decided to wait for a friend and stay out for the night so in all I spent 2 hours with him of course not including the little bits of time at work, on what should our first Valentines day where couples usually have a meal, which we did, a few drinks which we did and then most would have a cosy night in bed with a movie or something but at the time of writing this he has spent more time in the pub with a friend than with me on our first Valentines day so really it's been a bit pants, the meal was nice but out of all the Valentines days I've had when I've been with a boyfriend I've spent the least amount of time with John.
